about
Song is about the police brutality in the United States, how people were against the BLM movement when all those people wanted was peace and equality, white supremacy and more.
lyrics
I am here can’t you see me?
Escorted through your streets
Inbred in every brick you know
I love your tolerance of me
Laced in your mother’s milk
through her skin
You cannot win you cannot win
With me inside your veins there’s no place you can go
Through your skin
You cannot win you cannot win
Thought you locked me away, yet you threw away your peace
Blowing up your “nations” walls, bleeding in the streets
Hard to detect, Easy to suspect
I’m the nightmare in your dreams
Silence now
It’s only just me
Silence now
Listen to their screams of pain
They say I’m not a problem, just go back to sleep
I know you cannot see me, so keep me coming sweet
Fastening on the ones who’ve come across the sea
They won’t believe your lies, they’ll be whispered back to me
Emboldening the doomed with privilege and I spit on the weak
Gorging on all the oxygen as I step on your tight throats
Scream sweetly now I say and I’ll show you the ropes
There’s no room for darkness
amongst all my right.
Remember me when we burn this place down
Can’t you see me? I’m always in your face
Screaming so loud
Silence now
It’s only just me
I searched for God in the glisten of my tears.
There’s no light in sight, only right for me
I can hear them now, feet dancing in a fight
Their screams are muted by ropes so tight
I own you now as I’ve owned you then
Beat em down until they’re dead
Walk away with no damage dealt to your head
There’s no compromise
We will stand and rise
Take what’s rightfully mine
No more tragic demise

Solid release from a criminally underrated band. The Sea Starts Here is easily my favorite song and I can listen to it all day just for those monstrous vocals. Steven

I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. I bought the discography almost instantly, reminds me a little of The Faceless and a bit more of Fallujah who I also adore. Well worth the money, Support these great Musicians! dragonslayer8228
